Cupertino 5, Harker 4

John (Jay) Hernandez III drove in Jon Ringer with the winning run in the seventh inning to beat visiting Harker in a non-league game Monday. Ringer reached base by getting hit with a pitch. Cupertino scored two runs in the first inning. After walking multiple batters, Cupertino fell behind 4-2 in the third inning, then scored a run in the bottom half of the inning to cut the margin to one. The score remained at 4-3 until the seventh inning when Cupertino came back to win. Rain sprinkled occasionally throughout the game, clearing up towards the end.
